Booking process:
- To make your gite reservation a deposit of 25% and a completed booking form are required to ensure your booking is secured.
- Any payments that you make are refundable up to four weeks before your arrival, when your final balance is due.
- If the final balance is not received four weeks before your arrival your reservation will be cancelled.
- Please ensure you take out appropriate travel insurance.
- If a booking is made within four weeks of arrival, the total balance of the stay, including damage deposit, must be paid at the time of booking.
- We want you to be able to relax completely during your stay with us and we don't worry about minor breakages such as the odd glass or plate. We do include a £200/250€ damage deposit in the holiday payment for more substantial damage to equipment and fittings. However this sum does not limit your liability to the Owners.
- The damage deposit will be refunded within two weeks of the end of your holiday provided that no extra cleaning or damage has been found during our gite cleaning after your stay.
- At least one member of the group must be a responsible adult of 21 years or over.
- Numbers more than those agreed on the booking form are not permitted without the express written permission of the owners. Only people named on the booking form are permitted to stay in the gite. Day time visitors are only allowed with our prior approval.
- We also advise that you check the Terms and Conditions of the Internet Booking Site you use as their Terms and Conditions and payment details may vary from ours.
- Please note that prices may vary between booking sites. We use several different sites, and they all have their own services charges.
Accommodation:
- So that we can ensure that your gite is clean and properly prepared please do not arrive at Le Bouchet before 5:00pm and please vacate your gite by 10.00am on your departure date.
- Please note that there is NO SMOKING in the gite, the pool area and shared gardens. Smoking is solely restricted to your own private garden.
- For the comfort of everyone at Le Bouchet, no loud music after 11.30pm.
- NO PETS are allowed at Le Bouchet.
- All bed linen and house towels are provided with a weekly change for 2-week bookings. We do not provide pool towels, please bring your own.
- Free Wi-Fi is available but please be aware we are in a rural community and the signal strength can vary at times.
- The owners shall not be liable to you or any member of your party for any loss, damage or injury incurred at Le Bouchet or through use of equipment or facilities. Likewise, the owners shall not be liable for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of Public Services, nor in respect of any temporary defect in equipment or appliances in the gite, grounds or swimming pool; nor for any loss, damage or injury beyond the control of the owners. Please make sure you have appropriate travel insurance.
- As the gite is serviced by fosse septique, as in most of rural France, all gite-cleaning materials and toilet paper will be provided by us to prevent any damage to the fosse. Please ensure you only use the toilet paper provided by us and note that it is important that NO sanitary or baby items are flushed down the toilets.
Cleaning:
- If you wish us to do an end of stay clean, please let us know before the day of your departure. Otherwise, if the gite is not left reasonably clean and tidy, we will deduct the cleaning charge from your damage deposit.
- The charge for La Laiterie is £70/85€ and this is for 4 hours cleaning.
The charge for Les Ecuries £60/75€ and this is for 3 hours cleaning.
Any additional hours to this will be charged at £15/20€ an hour. - Please note our cleaning fee does not include washing up, emptying bins and replacing any furniture that has been moved.
Electric vehicle charging:
- Use of the 22kw EV Charger is for our guests only.
- Please be aware that it is a type 2 charger and you will need to have your own cable.
- Access to the charger is by RFID card which will be provided to you upon your arrival – a deposit charge of 20 euros cash per card will be required in case of a loss or damage.
- As the charger is shared between the two gites just be aware that there may be times when the charger is already in use but it is available 24/7.
- When you have finished charging your car, please move your car so that the charger is available to our other guests.
The swimming pool:
- Please follow pool signs and instructions - pool safety is of the utmost importance to us. Your children must be supervised by an adult at all times. You and your party agree to take full responsibility for the safety of all members of your party in and around the swimming pool.
- NO glass or bottles should be taken into the pool area.
- NO smoking or food is allowed in the pool area.
- To make sure everyone gets a peaceful evening and that we have time to clean the pool if necessary, it is closed from about 8pm in the evening until about 9.30am in the morning.
- The pool has the same depth throughout its length (1.25m), there is no shallow end.
- If you bring your own pool toys, please be aware that in order to protect the pool liner ONLY inflatable toys can be used in the pool and NOT toys that include or are made from plastic e.g. flippers and water guns.
- As this is a shared pool, if you use any of the inflatables we provide please put them back and if they’re your own inflatables please take them back to your gite.
Sun Creams:
- Please be aware that sun creams, particularly "Riemanns P20", can cause staining to towels and bedding which is not always possible to remove. To avoid staining our towels and bedding (and incurring a charge against your damage deposit) please ensure you use your own pool towels for sunbathing and swimming and shower before going to bed.
Guests Privacy:
- We take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to provide the services you have requested from us, and it will not be shared with any 3rd party.
- We reserve the right to enter the gite should we deem it necessary.
